B etter Beans for Africa provides farmers with access to iron-biofortified beans, a climate-smart and resilient crop with enhanced nutritional content. To improve the uptake of the beans, the initiative works to develop the capacity of smallholder farmers and to improve nutrition education and awareness. It promotes diversification of meals among African households, with a focus on bean-based products, and fosters partnerships with the private sector to improve the market access of bean-based products.
