H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta has been one of the key driving forces behind the AAAP. His prominent voice and leadership as eminent international statesman are already inspiring others to scale and accelerate the actions required to adapt to climate change.H.E. President Kenyatta accepted the invitation of H.E. As Global Champion for the AAAP his bold leadership on climate adaptation in Africa will support the mobilizing of the global community to honour their climate finance commitments and support the largest adaptation initiative on the continent. President Kenyatta’s leadership at the domestic level will also contribute to accelerate investments in adaptation in Kenya, through GCA’s strategic engagement with the Government of Kenya under the AAAP.
